It's amazing how life keeps getting busier day by day! But I wouldn’t have it any other way of course.
I am five years into the role of professional artist now, and to think that before I took the plunge, my main concern was whether it would sustain and satisfy my restless personality.
As to whether it was a sensible move on the financial front, well the jury’s still out on that one!
Embarrassingly, I thought that all I had to do was produce a painting or two and decide which lucky punter would be allowed to buy it off me.
Essentially it’s, like any other form of self-employment, it’s all about putting in nothing short of 100% and then hoping that you get the right kind of breaks.
I have a number of events coming up, a number of my new paintings will be showing in the “Albany Gallery Summer Show”, Albany Road Cardiff the dates are: June 25th to Sept 5th and I have a one-man show at the Court Cupboard Gallery in Abergavenny the dates are: May 23rd to July 17th.
If you get a chance to visit any of these events then please do not hesitate to email me with your thoughts.
By the way, if anyone fancies a week’s watercolour painting, fun in the sun, in August 2015 drop me an email for full details. The venue is just outside Valencia Spain. visit: www.Dalvaro.Co.Uk
